Case study: The University of Montreal - Immersive tour of the MIL campus

1. Context and objectives 🎯

Given that many prospective students are unable to travel to visit the MIL campus, the institution sought to develop an innovative solution to offer them an immersive remote experience. The main objective was clear: to make the campus virtually accessible in an engaging way , in order to generate interest and commitment from new students.

For this summer project, Hit Film was chosen because of the quality of its portfolio, the competitiveness of its prices and the availability of its team, a key factor in meeting tight deadlines.

2. Concept and implementation 💡

Selected format: Immersive 360° experience

Product content: 360 virtual tour + 4 360 video capsules of laboratories, designed to be viewed via virtual reality (VR) headset

The approach aimed to immerse students in the scientific world of the campus , through fluid storytelling and immersive filming, giving them the impression of walking around it in person.

3. User experience and initial feedback 🎧

Although the evaluation of the results is still underway, the initial feedback is promising:

  • The videos have been viewed nearly 800 times , without any promotional campaign – solely through their upload to YouTube.

  • Those who tested the VR headset experience found it "interesting" and engaging , a strong qualitative indicator of the format's relevance.

4. Impact and perspectives 📊

Even without precise quantitative data to date (conversion rate, engagement, etc.), the organic distribution phase has already generated significant interest .

This first series of videos provides a solid foundation for a wider future rollout , with a dedicated communication strategy to come.

5. Collaboration in solution mode 🤝

What did the project team take away from it? Hit Film's responsiveness and professionalism:

"Hit Film is responsive and solution-oriented when an issue is raised or we receive a request."

This collaborative approach, combined with cutting-edge technical expertise, has made it possible to transform a logistical challenge (physical access to the campus) into an immersive digital opportunity .

6. Conclusion ✨

Thanks to Hit Film's expertise, the MIL campus is now opening up to the world, offering an engaging, accessible, and innovative VR experience for prospective students. This project illustrates how technology can build bridges between institutions and remote audiences, while also enhancing learning infrastructure and environments.

👍 Portfolio, prix et disponibilité de l’équipe, même en plein été. Hit film est réactif et en mode solution quand on soulève un enjeu ou que nous avons une demande.
