WILLOW

Format :

1 hour 30 minutes

Feature-length dramatic and fantasy fiction film

Amélie is an orphan, seven months pregnant, who inherits land from her father, whom she has never known. She returns to her native village to try to understand why her parents abandoned her. There, she discovers that the mystery of her story is intertwined with the village legends.

A unique storytelling approach
SAULE is told from the perspective of five characters. Unlike an ensemble film, only one story is told—Amélie's—but through the eyes of several characters. The film is thus divided into five chapters that fit together. Sometimes, we see the same scene again, but with a fresh perspective that offers a new interpretation. The plot is a puzzle that unfolds as the chapters accumulate.

SAULE speaks of the bonds that unite us. In the film, these "necessary coincidences" are caused by the mysterious WILLOW tree that stands on the land where Amélie was born.
